Doug Quinney Invite

The Girls were led by junior Lauren Paske who won the Discus with a throw of 97’11” and placed second in the Shot Put with a put of 31’ even.  Our girls 4 by 8 Team of Mari Pourby, Alyx Clutz, Kendell Little, and Ceci Kasmarcik placed third, while senior Kara Condon made finals in the 100 Meter Dash.

Our boys were led by an amazing day from junior Nate Raab.  Nate won the Long Jump, finished third in the High Jump with a PR of 5’ 10 inches, he won the 400 Meter Dash with the third fastest time in School History, and was a member of the first place finishing 4 by 1 Meter Relay Team along with his brother Lincoln, junior Ethan Austin, and senior Keegan Watson.

Junior Ethan Vasleck finished first overall in the Triple Jump, becoming just the 15th Chenango Forks athlete to ever leap past 40 feet.  His winning jump of 40’3.5” now places him 11th in School history, just a half an inch past Hall of Famer and 1961 graduate Jerry Casey (for whom Casey Swamp is named after).  Ethan also finished sixth in the High Jump.

Also placing on an All Time List was senior Walker Paske who placed third overall in the Discuss with a Throw of 124’3 inches.  That now places Walker at 16th place in School History, just ahead of former Susquenango Conference Champion in the event and 1958 graduate David Shelby.  Walker managed to double-up and finished 5th in the Shot Put.

Senior Connor Little easily broke five minutes and finished third in the 1600.  Ethan Austin, who anchored our first place winning 4 by 1 Team, also placed 3rd in the 100 Meter Dash, and came back to finish 4th in the 200 Meter Dash.  Our Boys 4 by 800 Meter Relay Team of Connor Little, Kellen Muelsky, Aiden Argento, and Tommy Hillis placed fourth overall.

Freshman Sam Paske placed 5th in the 400 Meter Hurdles, while fellow freshman Lincoln Raab set a PR in the Triple with a leap of 36’ 10 inches and finished fifth overall in the event, becoming only the third freshmen in twenty-years to jump past 36 feet (joining Ethan Vaseleck and Hall of Famer LJ Watson).

Overall it was an impressive performance for our Blue Devils as they get ready to travel to CV for the second year in a row to take on the Warriors in our third Dual Meet of the season this Tuesday.
