74th Annual Baldwinsville Invitational Recap
This weekend, the Long Blue Line took on the 74th Annual Baldwinsville Invitational—one of the premier cross country meets in New York and a longtime staple on our schedule. With some of the best programs in the state on the course, our athletes stepped up on the first big stage of the season!
The girls had another strong outing, finishing 6th as a team. Clara Little led the way with a PR of 20:29, finishing 13th overall. Lena Lindow followed in 27th at 21:55, with Katherine Yahner and Rebecca Yahner finishing 45th and 48th. Captain Grace Harkness rounded out our top five with her best performance of the season!
The boys also had a tremendous day, finishing 11th overall. Joe Rullo led the way in 27th at 18:22, followed closely by Liam VanValkenburg in 31st with a huge PR of 18:31. Jackson James finished 46th at 19:11, with Hunter Cosgriff, Tristyn Motell, Max Harkness, Jackson Kilmer, and Jonah Sanford all contributing to the team effort.
One of the best stats of the day: Joe, Clara, Lena, Katherine, and Becca all competed here last year and combined to run almost EIGHT minutes faster this year! The hard work is paying off!
Next up, we split squads for the Pete Matzke Invite and Genesee Valley Park in Rochester
