2025 Forks XC Recap

On November 15th, the cross country season officially came to a close for the 2025 edition of the Forks XC harriers. To say it was a season full of joy and jubilation would be an understatement. We have been waiting to write our final summary until the award recipients were determined at the end of the season coaches meeting last week.

The boys team found their stride and rounded into form in the second half of the season. One of our foundational principles is learning how to overcome adversity and our boys did a great job of this all season. Early in the season the boys fought to be a complete team of five runners battling numerous injuries. All our runners stayed positive and it resulted in some tremendous performances in the second half of the season including a 6th place finish in an extremely competitive Section IV Class C championship race.

Garrett- Garrett was one of our two captains for the boys and did a great job leading by example to overcome numerous injuries throughout his career. Garrett was able to end his Forks XC career on a high note helping lead the team to a 6th place finish at sectionals. Garrett was an academic all star.

Nick- Nick was our other captain. Much like Garrett he did a great job leading our boys team all season and worked hard to overcome his shin splints to race at sectionals. To say Nick has gutted out the season is an understatement and is a true testament to hard work and dedication. Nice was an academic all star.

Joe- Joe was our number one runner for most of the year and ran some extremely impressive times. His 19:15 performance on a wet muddy sectional course is one of the faster times in our programs history. Joe was first team all division and an academic all star.

Jameson- Jameson was the driving force behind the toughness identity for the boys. Jameo constantly raised the level of quality at practice day after day. Many of the people on the team would not have trained at the level they did without Jameo pushing them. He was an integral part of the Forks XC operation and he will continue to be going forward.

Maddox- Maddox returned to the team in the middle of the year and to say he gave the boys a boost is an understatement. In addition to the actual energetic boost he gave the group, he also gave us a boost on the score card making us a complete team and had a great second half of the year.

The season put together by our girls team rivals any season in program history. The girls captured both Section IV Class C team championships and individual championships. Along the way the girls put together impressive performances at larger meets like the McQuaid Invitational and claimed team victories at Marathon, Bainbridge, and Delhi. The girls also recorded a top 5 finish at the STAC championship which is one of the best conferences in the state.

Mari- Mari is one of our girls captains and displayed tremendous leadership throughout the season. Mari will be forever cemented in Forks XC lore for her unprecedented ability for pacing in both workouts and races. Mari was first team all division and an academic all star.

Jaidyn- Jaidyn is one of our captains and was our glue on the girls team all season long. She constantly concerned herself with every other person on the team and raised the group to do better and soar higher. Jaidyn will also be cemented in Forks XC lore for one of our most prominent workouts, The JJ, named after her. Jaidyn received our sportsmanship award and was an academic all star.

Kaden- Kaden joined the team this year and made a strong impact with her unwavering work ethic despite fighting through several injuries. Her perseverance fit right in with our team culture. Kaden was an academic all star

Grace- Grace provided an outstanding balance of experience and competitiveness for our group that featured a relatively young and inexperienced nucleus. Grace has competed in the highest amount of “high leverage” cross country and track races out of anyone on our team and her ability to perform is contagious. Grace was first team all division and an academic all star.

Clara- Clara was the Section IV Class C Sectional Champion and performed at a high level all year. Despite being in her second year of cross country she is wise beyond her years (maybe due to the sport being in her blood) and is rapidly climbing the ladder of premiere runners in the area. Clara was first team all section, first team all conference, and and academic all star.

Katherine- Katherine had an amazing sophomore campaign. Each meet she improved multiple minutes from the season before due to her strong work ethic. Katherine wrapped up the year as our number 4 runner at sectionals and the state meet. Katherine was first team all division and an academic all star.

Lena- Lena has shown great improvement dating back to her modified years. She is always looking to lift up teammates and has produced HUGE performances each year at sectionals. Lena was our number 3 runner at sectionals and the state meet. Lena was first team all division, second team all section, and an academic all star.

Ceci- Ceci kicked off an incredible 1st year of her cross country career. Battling injury in the first half of the season, she had a monster second half of the season making huge improvements each week. She was our number 2 runner at sectionals and the state meet. Ceci was first team all conference, first team all section, and an academic all star.

Arianna- Arianna took the section by storm in her first year of cross country as an 8th grader. Ari was our number one runner for most of the year before suffering an injury which ended her season early. Ari recorded huge performances highlighted by runner up finishes at Bainbridge and Delhi as well as a top 30 performance at McQuaid. Ari was first team all conference and an academic all star.

Becca- Becca was also called up to varsity as an 8th grader and delivered in a huge way. Becca improved greatly throughout the season ending the year as a our number five runner at sectionals and the state meet. Her upward trajectory throughout the season shows big things are on the horizon. Becca was first team all division and an academic all star.

We would like to thank everyone for the incredible support we had throughout the season and we are already looking forward to fall 2026!
