Bainbridge and Delhi Recap

Back to back great meets for our Chenango Forks harriers! After completing a hectic month of travel and racing in September, our runners responded in a big way over the last few days. This past Saturday we traveled to General Clinton Park in Bainbridge. Our boys finished third overall with an impressive gap time (the time between the 1st runner and 5th runner) of under a minute and a half! The girls emerged victorious over local powerhouse BGAH with 32-32 tiebreaker win. With both teams tied at 32 through their first 5 runners, Becca Yahner beat the BGAH 6th runner helping elevate our girls to the victory! Arianna Hepler and Clara Little recored top 3 finishes and Mari Pourby ran a season beat time of 23:21.

With a quick turnaround time, we traveled to Delhi for the Jack Gariepy Invitational. Joe Rullo, Garrett Vail, and Jameson Rattigan helped lead the boys to a 4th place finish at the SUNY Delhi golf course. The girls recorded their 2nd team victory in 5 days beating the host school Delhi 23-35. Arianna, Clara, Lena, Ceci, Katherine, and Becca all placed in the top 14. Both squads have earned a well deserved 10 day break from racing.

Don’t forget to join us for the Runnin’ With the Devils 5k tomorrow on October 11th! Runners and walkers and register the morning of the event. Registration, the start, and the finish are all in the stadium. Please arrive no latter than 8:15 so we can get bibs assigned to all participants.
